What is Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a skin related medical condition where the skin cells grow too quickly and starts giving faulty signals to the immune systems. This in results leads to growth of new skin much faster than its normal course of time.

In this type of medical conditions the body of the diseased person does not shed the excess skin and hence it starts to pile up leading to infections and form lesions on the surface of the skins. This disease is not contagious and therefore does not spread from one person to the other.

This reaction activates the skin cells to grow at a much faster rate than the normal rate of the sin cell growth which are actually 21 days. 

As the psoriasis causing cells lie in our DNA it is being said by the doctors that the person who is suffering from this skin disorder has inherited it from their genes.
